Explore the Greater Bonne Femme Watershed
This project was created for the MS4 partnership between City of Columbia MO, County of Boone MO, and the University of Missouri. Script was provided. Other than the aerials, which were flown by the County IT department, footage was shot by me using iPhone and Sony PXW-Z190. I produced the graphics, voiced the script, and edited the project.
One Word Project
The City Channel was asked to produce video content for a social media campaign to generate community interest and participation in the One Word Project. The project artwork, consisting of the word bubble mark and the handwritten project name mark, were designed by Brooke Vangel. Video footage by Columbia’s City Channel staff. Script was provided by Nickie Davis, Executive Director, Downtown CID (The District). I animated the graphics, voiced the script and edited it all together to a happy-go-lucky tune licensed from APM Music.
It’s Simple: Rebate
My favorite of the “It’s Simple” series of five ads that I produced for Columbia Water and Light in 2008. By the time I received the audio track for this spot, I pretty much had my workflow together, one that I had to invent for myself because I had never done anything like this before, and also because the tools I was using (After Effects) weren’t necessarily designed for this kind of thing (character animation). I worked in traditional 16 frames per second timelines and kept the movements simple. Still, I think for a nearly first-time character animation it’s not bad at all. Regular attendance at figure drawing sessions really paid off for this series.
Community Scholars
My favorite edit. Personality, humor, heart … all come through.
Arts & Prosperity
I created all of the graphics for this piece, produced for the Office of Cultural Affairs by Zia Nizami.
PSA: Home Improvement Program
Columbia Stream Team
Clean Stream Theater
A fun project for me, full of spontaneous creativity based on love of storytelling and experience as both a child and a parent.
Orr Street Studios
As a freelancer, I had the honor of working on a small number of projects with Stephen Hudnell and Beth Pike, the tandem owners of Orr Street Productions and two of the most capable, accomplished journalists I’ve ever met. Projects I worked on included two award winning documentaries, Trustees for the Public and Deadline in Disaster, as well as their web series for the Missouri Department of Conservation, Finding Wild Missouri.
